last week...so far was the worst ive experienced this year. sytem crash that resulted to a dead pc for 2 days, intermittent internet connection, nabutas na tubo ng nawasa [toink wahehe], disk errors, disabled home network, ung pinag-aplayan ko ng work di ako tinawagan, si wall-e di ko malagay sa ipod, and maingay na aso dahil tinali sa garahe. haaaaayyy........!?/!

obviously buhay na si pc kase nagagamit ko na siya ngayon. buti naman at nakita ni tech ang problem. ung jumper lang ng bios eh need ma refresh para ma clear ang memory. sabi niya baka may virus ang bios - eh ni google ko naman un at bihira daw magkavirus sa bios - dahil ang virus daw eh need ang operating system para makapag operate.

actually i attempted na ilipat ung jumper [buti di ko ginawa kase mali and kulang ung gagawin ko] hehe.

ung internet ko eh ewan pasulpot sulpot parin. pero yesterday hanggang ngayon eh working siya. sana di na maputol ulit kase definitely papuputol na namin siya at lilipat kami sa digitel or mag papakabit ng cable [internet cable] sa cable tv provider namin.

december 2008 ko pa narereceive na may error ang drive disk ko everytime na nag-po-power up ako ng pc. di ko pinansin ayun tuloy ilang files ko na corrupt. di ko alam ang extent ng damage sa mga files ko. as of this moment less than 10 files ang nadiscover kung corrupted and can never be recovered again kaya i deleted them na lang. ang result... everyday ako nag dedefrag ng disk [1 month kong gagawin to i swear]. ang result the second time around... di ko na narereceive na may error ang disk ko. ang result one more time...baka bumili na talaga ako ng external hard disk to protect my files.

ang wifi ko disabled. bluetooth lang gumagana. 1 pc lang ang nakakapag internet dahil inoobserbahan pa rin ang connection ko. siguro sa wednesday ko pa aayusin to. end of story.

feeling ko bumalik ung alaala ko nung nagwowork pa ako as a technical support [international account ako anyway - from canada to puerto rico] - 2 and a half months ago na yata ang nakalilipas. want to know why?...may nangyari kase sa internet connection ko...well actually as of this moment [10.23pm] eh nagloloko pa rin siya. eto ang tinatawag na "intermittent connection."

when my internet connection suddenly ceased to exist yesterday eh hinayaan ko lang for a little while lang naman. then mga 5pm at wala pa rin eh nag wonder why na ako. pumunta ako sa configuration page ng router and i checked kung meron itong WAN IP - negative. i release the ip address kahit wala naman at ni-renew ulit eto to no avail. zero palagi ang binibigay na result. pumunta ako sa command prompt para i-flush ang current dns kahit alam ko namang wala rin halos mangyayari hehe. i even registered the dns kahit wala ako narereceive. addict wahehehe. i disconnected the router from the connection and plugged the modem directly to the pc. i tried to release / renew any ip address na makukuha ko. may nakuha naman eto o: 169.254.80.xx - leche edi wala ring internet connection.

i called 171 [sa pldt] for assistance then nag hello ang computer generated voice na magdederect sakin sa tamang person na may split para sa dsl connection. press 1 for residential / press 3 for report chachachacha / hanggang umabot sa please enter your phone number starting with the area code. hayun sandali lang naman ang hinintay ko at may nakakuha na ng call ko.

first call: wala ako napala sa girl na nakausap ko kase gagawa na lang daw siya ng incident report for remote testing[tagged ito as solution provided sa amin = pero ito rin ay pasok sa barubal call kase di man lang nag check ng settings sa pc or modem]

second call: [6.00pm] eto mejo mejo ang abilidad ng guy na to. [actually si sister na ang tumawag at kumukulo ang dugo ko sa nauna kong nakausap. sabi ko kay sister na once na may sumagot sa kanya eh humingi siya ng level 2 technician] nag ask kung choppy ang connection / sinabi din nya na kung meron connected na extension phone eh paki unplug daw muna. sinabi ko sa kanya na ang ip address kong nakukuha eh assigned ng lan card ko which is 169.254.80.xx [APIPA]. asked ulit siya kung anu ang current ip address ko sabi ko di ko alam kase powered down si pc tsaka nasa ground ako at ung pc eh nasa 2nd floor. so i decided na mag-call back [tagged ito as solution provided sa amin]

third call: chambarera tong nakausap ko. after namin i-end ni guy ung call eh binuhay ko si pc at inakyat ang lecheng landline namin sa room ko. then i called them again. girl nakasagot. sabi ko meron akong kausap earlier na level 2 [na para namang hinde] at mag tro trouble shoot kami at nasa command prompt nako. ok daw sabi nya. wait lang daw check nya ung incident report [aba crimen samen pag walang incident report <-- very precious hehe] so ayun nga daw sige type daw ako ipconfig sa black window [kami din eh ganun ang instruction hehe]. ang ip address ko eh 169.254.80.xx na naman. ask din siya kung nag-set ako ng static ip address sabi ko i tried pero binalik ko sa dhcp kase wala namang nangyayari so sabi nya patayin ko daw ang modem for 10 seconds. umepal pa ko kase sabi ko dapat 2 to 5 minutes ang regular time para marefresh ang ip address sa modem sabi nya ok na raw ung 10 seconds.[well pinas to hindi states lahat posible hehe] then nag ask siya kung ano na ip address ko. sabi ko aba wait lang acquiring pa lang [ng ip add] so sabi nya sabihin ko lang kung meron na. ayun napasabi pa ko ng "shoot" [slang na mura sa america - lighter version hehe] sabi ko aba nagkaroon ng valid ip address. ask siya gumagana na po? sabi ko wait lang at nag-o-open ako ng web browser. ok daw. then sabi ko ayan gumagana na siya. ok daw at sorry sa abala. ask ko ulit why ganon? aba nag-explain ng out of this world answers hehehe. [case resolved] akala ko ok na.

i powered down the pc after 5 minutes kase akala ko ok na nga siya then nung binuksan ko ng 9.00pm eh lintek wala na naman. so i called them again.

fourth call: letche binabaan ako ng telepono. di ako marinig. sa amin pag wala ka marinig sa linya eh magbababay ng maayos at sasabihin namin na di namin siya marinig at tumawag na lang ulet. [dropped call]

fifth call: same as call my first call. ang nadagdag lang eh wala na raw tech support by that time. tatawag na lang daw bukas ung outbound tech nila. [solution provided na naman]

sixth call: inis na inis na ko sa sistema sa bansang to at isinusumpa kong naging pilipino ako hehe. kase kung samin nangyari to eh kahit umabot ng 30 minutes to 1 hour eh tutulungan namin ang customer na ayusin ang line nya - ililipat namin sa senior technician ang call kung hindi na kaya ng powers namin hehe.

eto ang last call ko yesterday. girl ang nakasagot and i feel sorry so i say im sorry kase mejo bastos nako. pagka hello pa lang nya eh sinabi ko nang "i-a-assist mo ba ako na maayos tong connection ko o gagawa ka na naman ng incident report" so sabi nya for security purposes eh she asked me kung who the [hell] i am at kung sino may ari ng account. after that eh pumunta na naman kami sa command prompt to check for my ip address. so un 169.254.80.xx na naman and i told her na limited or no connectivity ang status ng connection ko / after that we went to network connection then sabi nya click ko to at click ko to at click ko to [hindi nya alam kanina pa open ung gusto nyang puntahan ko hehe] ang gaga pina-uncheck ba naman ung "notify me if this connection is limited or no connectivity" malamang sasabihin ng computer connected maski hindi nman talaga. so sabi ko sa kanya wala pa rin. so balik kami comman prompt para marelease ang ip address. successful. then we tried to renew the ip ulit to no avail ulet kase unable to contact dhcp. request timed out. so un natapos kame sa incident report. [solution provided]

first call: [outbound] aba akala ko eh sugo na nang technical world tong girl na to dahil check ko daw ang modem at i-che-check na sa system nila kung anu nangyayari. sabi ko nasa taas ung pc so sabi nya call siya ulet after 5 minutes. kinabit ko na naman ung phone sa room ko at habang nirerestart ang pc ang tumawag na ang demonyita [hehe] sabi ko wait lang at di pa nagloload ang operating system. so sabi nya o sige wait lang para ma-stabilize ang system [napahanga na naman ako - sabi ko aba masosolve na yata] then ung nagdisplay na naman si pc na limited or no connectivity eh humirit na wait pa rin daw so ok [diskompyado na ko] so humirit nako na "no" "sira pa rin" at 169.254.80.xx pa rin ang ip address ko. aba nag i therefore conclude ba naman ang gaga at sinabi lan card ko daw ang may problema [THE WHAT????????????????????????] so i asked her kung may problem ang lan card ko eh why pati ung router e di makakuha ng ip she said wala daw sila sagot sa router ko so i said ok [di siguro alam ng babaeng to ang mundo ng connection] pilit niya sinasabi na may problem ang lan card ko and i need to reinstall the driver or i might replace it kase not functioning ng maayos. so humirit ulit ako na sige lets say sira si lan card but why pati ung iba kung device eh di makakuha ng internet connection kung nakakabit si modem sa router at di na sa pc ko. ang punyeta ang isinagot saken eh "wala nga po kaming sagot sa router nyo dahil kayo ang nag pro provide nyan!!!" [kung yan ang sasabihin namin eh sangkatutak na mura ang aabutin namin] so i said sige bye [worst tech support of the century] [I WONDER TULOY WHAT IF TAMA NAMAN ANG NARERECEIVE KONG IP ADDRESS AT HINDI PA RIN AKO MAKAPAGINTERNET AND UNKNOWNWINGLY MAY NAKAPAGSET LANG PALA NG INCORRECT PROXY SERVER SA PC KO AY ANU NAMAN KAYA ANG SASABIHIN NITONG GIRL NA TO??? SIRA ANG MONITOR?!?]

second call: ayaw ko ng tumawag sa pldt dahil masisira lang ulo ko at gumagawa na ko stand na itigil namin ang service sa phone company na to. so my mom insists to call again so si sister to the rescue ang gumawa. si sister ang daling kausap pag sinabi magwala ka pag may sumagot na tech support so ayun effective hehe. guy ang nakasagot. sa lahat ng calls na ginawa namin sa pldt eh eto ang PINAKAMATINO!!!!! - hindi lang para sa dsl kundi sa lahat ng calls na ginawa namin sa pldt [wow commendation]. hindi ko siya crush mga gago hehe pero i swear napaka proffessional niya nung hinandle nya ung call [nakalimutan ko ung name nya - im very very sorry for that] pinasa ni sister ang phone sakin kase di na kinaya nung powers niya ung tinatanong ni tech. i told him that lagi 169.254.80.xx and lagi ko nakukuhang ip address at syempre lagi limited or no connectivity ang status message. i also told him na may nag-outbound call sakin ng mga 6.00pm sabi eh may topak daw ung lan card ko. sabi ko sa kanya eh paano masisira ang lan card ko eh nakakapagcommunicate ako sa router ko. ask nya tuloy kung nagrerespond ang lan card kung i ping ito. napasabi pa tuloy ako na paano ko mapiping un eh wala namang ip address un para i-ping [my 1st mistake kase pwede po syang i-ping actually - ang nasa isip ko kasi eh si lan card ang bearer ng mac id] he said type ko lang "ping loopback" at kung ok daw ang lan card eh magrereply eto at dapat 0% loss [actually lam ko din to - once in a blue moon ko lang gawin kaya nakalimutan ko na hehe promise] so ayun sabi ko patay si pc - hintay daw nya - sabi ko pa nga "sir can i put on hold hehe" sige daw. so ayun binuksan ko si pc at nang nag "ping loopback" na ko he hehe 127.0.0.1 replied 4 times with 0%loss- aus naman pala si lan card. punyeta ung nag outbound call saken. so i rushed sa pipitsugin naming landline phone at sinabi ko agad na gumagana si lan card [syempre sinabi ko ung result nung ping] so un gumagana naman pala daw at ina-ask niya kung natatandaan ko ung name nung tumawag sakin eh kainis di ko matandaan hehe] at un i feel vindicated kase wala ang problema sa akin. tapos nag aapologize siya kase nga ung ang nangyayri sa service. he said gagawa siya ng report para i-prove na gumagana ung lan card ko. i asked him kung pwede i RMA ung modem kase nga leche sabi nya di na pwede kase out of warranty na raw. sabi ko ok lang...

so aun ang experience ko sa local account sa call center sa philippines...thanx sa abala
